About Silver Cloud Designs

Jewelry has always been more than adornment—it’s a way to tell a story, capture a  moment, and carry meaning. 

Silver Cloud Designs is the creative expression of Barb Amador, a Lafayette, Colorado– based metalsmith who creates handcrafted sterling silver jewelry inspired by a  lifelong love of beautiful, wearable art. 

From an early age, Barb was drawn to jewelry in all its forms. Although work and  family responsibilities came first for many years, her passion never faded. She  continued to create simple pieces for family and friends, quietly nurturing her  dream. 

After retiring, Barb fully embraced her calling and studied metalsmithing in Denver,  progressing from beginner through advanced and specialized technique classes to  refine her skills and artistic voice. 

In 2010, she founded Silver Cloud Designs, sharing her work through vendor shows  alongside her husband. Today, while the heavy lifting of show setups is behind her,  the joy of creating remains. Barb now focuses on her website and her work at  Particulars Gallery and Teaching Studio in Lafayette, Colorado.
