A Sterling Feather with 22kg overlay

This piece started out as flat sterling stock. It was hand sawn into the feathered shape, the rib /bail soldered on, and the gold added as Kombu. It has been heated to make the gold adhere. Then polished to a soft shine.  It hangs on an 18" sterling chain.
